Systems & Network Infrastructure
Building, running and sustaining server, virtualisation and network infrastructure.

IT Manager · 15+ years
I put technology to work for the business: secure infrastructure, reliable data and measurable efficiency.
01 / Profile
Good IT management is invisible: systems run, data stays safe, and people get on with their work.
For more than fifteen years I have designed, run and improved IT infrastructure for organisations. I have held responsibility across every layer of IT, from servers and networks to databases, information security and in-house software.
My degree in Business Administration lets me weigh technology decisions in terms of cost, risk and efficiency. My master's in Information Technology and Internet Security grounds those decisions in solid technical and security foundations.
Today I manage IT for a manufacturing company's plants in Türkiye and Mexico, where I focus on bringing AI into business processes safely through on-premise large language models (LLMs) and process automation.
02 / Expertise
End-to-end experience across every layer of IT, from strategy to execution.
Building, running and sustaining server, virtualisation and network infrastructure.
Database design, performance, backup and data integrity.
Risk-based security policies, access management and rapid incident response.
LLM solutions that keep data in-house, and automation of repetitive work.
Purpose-built applications, system integrations and web solutions.
Service continuity, IT processes and end-user support.
03 / Projects
A selection of measurable initiatives delivered in manufacturing.
On-premise servers had to be replaced every five years, and backups required separate licence fees.
The entire server estate was migrated to the cloud, with backups handled by native cloud capabilities.
Systems reached 99.9% availability. Hardware refresh and backup licence costs were eliminated, cutting monthly costs by USD 1,000–2,000.
Activity on critical systems was logged in scattered places and security was checked only periodically, so management had no regular, measurable view.
Security moved from periodic checks to a continuous, measured and reported process, and every critical action can be traced and evidenced after the fact.
Quality, budget, approval and document processes ran on spreadsheets, paper forms and manual data entry.
Software needs were met without paying outside vendors; paper circulation ended, and every request, approval and document is traceable.
Users started each day with heavy email traffic, and important tasks could get lost in the inbox.
A language model running on company servers summarises overnight email at first login and lists the actions required; every new message pops up with a summary and suggested actions.
Morning email review dropped from 30 minutes to 5. AI is used without any data leaving the company. Currently in pilot, the system is being rolled out gradually.
Requests to IT went unrecorded, so the team's real workload was invisible.
A ticketing system was introduced as the single channel for all requests, with regular reporting.
IT's workload became visible in data for the first time. Targets are now set on real figures rather than estimates, and IT can scale.
Ageing cabling limited network performance; cameras were low quality, had no night vision and could not be viewed off site.
The network got faster, cabling costs were avoided, hardware spend became a predictable monthly cost and the user experience improved markedly. Managers can monitor every site, day and night, from anywhere.
04 / Education
Two disciplines combined: business and technology.
Master's degree
Technical depth and a security-first perspective.
Bachelor's degree
A foundation in management, cost and process thinking.
